Rampuria Haveli (Bhanwar Niwas) (रामपुरिया हवेली (भंवर निवास))
The Rampuria Havelis are a spectacular cluster of ornate merchant mansions built by the wealthy Rampuria family in the 15th to 18th centuries. Located in the narrow lanes of Bikaner's Old City, these red sandstone havelis feature exquisite jharokhas (overhanging balconies), intricate stone carvings, lattice windows, and beautiful frescoes. Bhanwar Niwas, the grandest of the group, has been converted into a heritage hotel and showcases Art Deco interiors blended with traditional Rajasthani craftsmanship. The haveli's Durbar Hall, stained-glass windows, and ornamental facades make it a photographer's paradise. Walking through the Rampuria Haveli street is like stepping back in time to the golden era of Bikaner's merchant community.

History
The Rampuria family were prosperous Jain merchants who traded extensively during the Mughal and British periods. They built a series of grand havelis over several centuries starting from the 15th century, each successive generation adding to the architectural splendor. Bhanwar Niwas, the crown jewel, was built in the early 1900s and uniquely blends European Art Deco with Rajputana architecture. The havelis survived remarkably well due to the dry desert climate.
