Laxmi Niwas Palace is a magnificent heritage hotel housed within the Lalgarh Palace complex, built by Maharaja Ganga Singh and designed by the renowned British architect Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob. This wing of Lalgarh Palace has been converted into a luxury heritage hotel that offers guests a taste of royal Rajputana living. Even non-guests can appreciate the stunning architecture by visiting the lobby, dining at the palace restaurant, or exploring the exterior grounds. The palace features exquisite red sandstone architecture with intricate stone lattice work (jaali), carved pillars, sweeping corridors, and manicured gardens. The interiors boast period furniture, hunting trophies, portraits of Bikaner royalty, and ornate dining halls. A meal at the palace restaurant, surrounded by royal ambiance, is one of Bikaner's most memorable experiences.

History

Laxmi Niwas Palace is part of the larger Lalgarh Palace complex, built between 1902 and 1926. Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob, who also designed the Albert Hall Museum in Jaipur, created a masterful blend of Rajput, Mughal, and European architectural styles. The palace was named after Goddess Lakshmi. After India's independence, the royal family converted this wing into a heritage hotel, which is now managed by a hotel chain.

How to Reach
