Jorbeer Conservation Reserve (जोड़बीर संरक्षण रिज़र्व)
Jorbeer Conservation Reserve is one of the most important vulture habitats in Asia, located about 10 km from Bikaner city. This unique site is home to hundreds of vultures belonging to multiple species including the critically endangered Egyptian Vulture, Long-billed Vulture, White-rumped Vulture, and King Vulture. The area also attracts steppe eagles, tawny eagles, spotted eagles, and various other raptors, making it a paradise for birdwatchers and wildlife photographers. The desert landscape around Jorbeer, with its scrubby vegetation and open skies, provides excellent viewing opportunities. In winter months, migratory raptors join the resident population, creating a spectacular concentration of birds of prey. Conservation efforts here have played a crucial role in protecting vulture populations that have declined dramatically across India.

History
Jorbeer area became an unofficial carcass dumping ground for the city's livestock, which inadvertently created a reliable food source for vultures and other scavengers. Recognizing the site's ecological importance, the Rajasthan Forest Department declared it a Conservation Reserve to protect the vultures. It has since become one of the most important vulture conservation sites in the country.
